I’ve been making some books this winter. Most of them are for practise and are not particularly interesting but hopefully in a couple of weeks I’ll have some exciting books to share. For now, here are some watercolour+Photoshop sketches I did over the past month. I’m just refreshing my sense of colour, line, and shape.
Ever since watching and reading The Hobbit, I have been thinking endlessly about mountains.
This was part of a lovely outdoor area at a San Antonio Library. Still playing with the colours in the ‘shop.
ERRRGHH, ABSTRACT WATERCOLORS!
I love the third picture th e best although that’s a bit more personal preference, since it has a few more concrete subjects… But the colors you have for all of them are amazing! I love the clouds in the first one, and, gosh, cold wintry Tolkien mountains are the best, so the second one is nice and cold in a purple way!
